Come, Come to Jesus (Acts 2)

All you devoted in your faith,
You very wise in earthly ways,
Come, come to Jesus
All you of knowledge well possessed,
And those with scripture’s truths impressed,
Come, come to Jesus.

And all you from your ethnic berth,
Of every tongue and tribe on earth,
Come, come to Jesus.
You Jews and Arabs, Greek and Hun,
Tibetan, Celt, and Amazon,
Come, Come to Jesus.

And all you bent by Babel’s cares,
And worried by your worldly wares,
Come, Come to Jesus.
All you distracted by the curse,
Who look to food, or sword, or purse,
Come, come to Jesus

All you ensnared by all your sin,
Who are among the worst of men,
Come, come to Jesus.
All you who live in mankind’s dark,
Who have an unrepentant heart,
Come, come to Jesus.

And you oppressed by various woes,
Afflicted by your flesh or foes,
Come, come to Jesus.
All you who see rebellion’s weight,
Who understand what you must pay,
Come, come to Jesus.

All you who crucified the Christ,
Who sold your souls to Satan’s lies,
Come, come to Jesus.
Redeemed, condemned, you rich, you poor,
You righteous, sinner, chaste, or whore,
Come, come to Jesus.
