Jude 14-19: The Day of Judgment

The Lord of Hosts, His standard raised,
Arises in His holy rage,
To judge all peoples’ wicked ways,
To all ungodliness in-cage,
Condemn the vices of each age,
And vindicate His righteousness.

His myriads of angel hosts,
And rank on rank celestial band,
With Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
Will weigh the ways of every man,
As one pronounce him right or damned,
And when He speaks they praise and bless.

If you would stand against that day,
Accept the truth in scriptures shown,
Reject what skeptic scoffers say,
And trust the Word of God alone,
To turn to flesh your heart of stone,
The ones who follow God are blessed.

The murmurers against His will,
And malcontents of Jesus’ ways,
Who seek but for their lusts to fill,
And over-staters in self-praise,
With those who always favorites play,
These all shall perish in distress.

Yet those contented but in Christ,
Who only speak in praise of Him,
Who do the deeds God’s will comprised,
Humility before all men,
Impartial in all judgments then,
Before the Father He’ll confess.

Truth and Love (III John part B)

The ministry of love and truth are joined,
So love no lie, or love will be purloined.
And this is love: to walk in God’s commands,
All other laws are hatred and are damned.
For Jesus Christ is God-head from His birth,
And physically incarnate came to earth.
Thus anyone who would this truth deny,
Is not progressive but an anti-Christ.
Do not receive a man who teaches this,
That you not join the error that is his.
He is no brother in our holy faith,
So do not wish him well whose love is fake.
To love him, contradict the lie he tells,
Don’t pat his back while he walks straight to hell.
But those who preach the truth of Jesus Christ,
Should be received as brothers in the fight.
Affirm them, too, in all the truth they speak,
Providing for them well in all their need,
In openness to host your fellow heirs,
With gold, and food, and often offered prayer.
The only way to love is loving truth,
Be that in affirmation or rebuke.

Truth (III John)

My source of greatest joy is found,
To hear my children still abound,
With in the truth – the Lord’s compound,
Rejoicing in the truth.

With wisdom is the truth proclaimed,
The tongue to speak or to restrain,
Speak truth for Christ and not to blame,
With wisdom speak the truth.

And if your thoughts are not precise,
Then seek out Godly saint’s advice,
To see what steps should be devised,
With reference for the truth.

Be careful then in what you state,
Your own pet theory to debate,
With caution when you speculate,
Distinguishing the truth.

Be bold with those who turn away,
Don’t bend to what the bullies say,
Let truth not fall deceptions prey,
Exposing what’s not truth.

And never, brother, hold your peace,
In speaking truth thus never cease,
That always we in truth increase,
We always speaking truth.
