In the Here and Now (Psalm 37:7-15)

In the here and now,
While wicked men yet cheat and bribe,
While government officials lie,
While widows yet for justice cry,
Still labor for the Lord.

In the here and now,
Your wrath and fury needs forsake,
Let God be God and on Him wait,
All evil He will decimate,
Put hope then in the Lord.

In the here and now,
The wicked may be at their ease,
But very soon their joy will cease,
The meek will all their riches seize,
This given by the Lord.

In the here and now,
While wicked men still gnash their teeth,
The Master yet will laugh, who sees,
That every man will bend his knees,
Before the awesome Lord.

In the here and now,
The wicked draw their swords and darts,
Yet they will enter their own hearts,
The godly Christ makes as the stars,
Perfected by the Lord,
In the here and now.
