Jude 14-19: The Day of Judgment

The Lord of Hosts, His standard raised,
Arises in His holy rage,
To judge all peoples’ wicked ways,
To all ungodliness in-cage,
Condemn the vices of each age,
And vindicate His righteousness.

His myriads of angel hosts,
And rank on rank celestial band,
With Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
Will weigh the ways of every man,
As one pronounce him right or damned,
And when He speaks they praise and bless.

If you would stand against that day,
Accept the truth in scriptures shown,
Reject what skeptic scoffers say,
And trust the Word of God alone,
To turn to flesh your heart of stone,
The ones who follow God are blessed.

The murmurers against His will,
And malcontents of Jesus’ ways,
Who seek but for their lusts to fill,
And over-staters in self-praise,
With those who always favorites play,
These all shall perish in distress.

Yet those contented but in Christ,
Who only speak in praise of Him,
Who do the deeds God’s will comprised,
Humility before all men,
Impartial in all judgments then,
Before the Father He’ll confess.
