Worship! (Psalm 33:1-8)

Sing out, all you Jehovah’s saints,
You righteous in His blood,
Let praises be your normal state,
And fit you as a glove.

Play skillfully upon the harp,
Your worship deftly made,
And glorify Him with your art,
God smiles when we play.

Sing to the Lord, a song that’s new,
And ancient praises clasped,
Perfection of each song pursue,
With gusto – trumpet blasts!

Because the word of God is right,
And faithful all the time.
So you may hold His promise tight,
And trust His way divine.

And God adores the justice served,
When wicked men are judged.
His mercy covers all the earth,
And He has made us just.

And when He speaks the heaven’s dawned,
And stars burst into flame,
And from His breath the planets spawned,
And countless wonders came.

The welling oceans He has stored,
With polar ice and wind,
He watches us, a loving Lord,
Oh, stand in awe of Him!
